The Sun is Shining!

For the first time since I've been here the weather is nice! And I mean really really sunny and hot! I went out earlier and took a load of pictures of campus so I'll put them up as soon as I can :)

Yesterday after I wrote I went over to the International Centre to sign up for the Niagara Falls trip which is tomorrow, we leave at 10am (10am on a Saturday!!!) I can't wait it;s going to be so good, and apparently the weather is supposed to be really nice again. After I signed up to the trip the lady in the office sort of made me to go to the International Students Wine and Cheese Reception (which I hadn't really planned on going to because I thought it was going to be a bit rubbish) but it turned out to be so good! I met Charlie there and a couple girls from Glasgow I had met at an orientation. There was so much food - not just cheese - there were cakes, chocolate covered strawberries, chips & dips, bread, cookies etc we met all the staff as well and they're all really friendly. At about 5 when it ended, the lady that brought me down there was telling everyone to take as much food away with them as they can because otherwise it would have all been thrown away. So I took the rest of the strawberries back for my housemates! haha was just so funny seeing people carrying armfuls of food out!!

Last night we went to a party in Port Dalhousie which has the biggest outdoor patio in Canada so they say. Had a really good night and found out that taxis are pretty much the only cheap thing here.

Today I had my first Popular Music and Youth Culture class and to be honest it looks like it's going to be such a good class. The class schedule actually says: "Screening: one episode of Glee" - I GET TO WATCH GLEE IN MY LECTURES!!!!!!! It does look really interesting as well even without the Glee, we listened to a bunch of music today from Elvis Presley to the Jonas Brothers. A part of the assessment for the module is that we have to design a website as well which is new.

As I'm writing this I've literally just got back from Port Dalhousie after  going to the annual International Picnic which was on the beach by Lake Ontario. It was so good! I've got some really good pictures of the lake which I'll put below. We got more free food and just had a really good time!

Going to watch the open mic night later and then early morning for NIAGARA FALLS tomorrow!
